Privacy Policy
Effective September 25, 2026. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
This policy explains how Hantis USA, LLC ("Hantis", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit hantis.net, download our free guides, join our email list, contact us, or buy our digital products.
The short version
- You can browse the site and download the free Rulebook and Quick Start without giving us any personal information.
- We collect your email address only if you give it to us: to join the email list, contact us, or buy something.
- Payments are handled by our checkout partners (Lemon Squeezy, Stripe or Gumroad). We never see or store your card number.
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
- Our products for teachers don't require any information about students.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Email list: your email address, if you sign up for updates.
- Messages: your name, email address and anything you include when you email us, for example a school purchase order with billing contact details.
- Purchases: when you buy, our checkout partner collects your name, email address, billing country and postal code, and payment details. They share order details with us (your name, email address, what you bought, the price and the date) so we can deliver the product and support you. Card numbers stay with the checkout partner.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information for security and reliability: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. We don't use it to identify individual visitors.
- Analytics: hantis.net does not currently use analytics or tracking tools. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first.
How we use it
- To deliver the products you buy and send receipts and download links.
- To answer your messages and process school purchase orders and invoices.
- To send email updates you asked for (new videos, rule clarifications, tournament news). Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
If you're in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (purchases), your consent (email list), and our legitimate interests (security and answering messages), plus legal obligations (tax records).
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with services that help us run Hantis, and only as much as they need:

Merchant-of-record partners (Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad) sell the product to you on our behalf, so their own privacy policies also apply to your purchase. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
Cookies
- hantis.net itself doesn't set cookies.
- Videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and don't load until you press play. After that, YouTube may set its own cookies.
- When you open checkout, the checkout partner may set cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention.
Students and children
- hantis.net is intended for adults, including teachers, coaches, parents and organizers. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
- The P.E. Lesson Plans are printable resources. Using them doesn't require sharing any student information with us, and we never ask for it.
Your rights and choices
- Access, correct or delete: email us and we'll send you a copy of your information, correct it or delete it, unless we must keep it for legal reasons such as tax records.
- Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any email, or email us.
- California residents: you have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- EU and UK residents: you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by replying from the email address we have on file.
Retention and security
- Order records: kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to 7 years.
- Email list: kept until you unsubscribe.
- Messages: kept as long as needed to help you, then deleted.
- Security: we use reputable providers with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and limit access to the people who run Hantis. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
- International transfers: our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, with appropriate safeguards where required.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll also notify people on our email list.
